[I] HT + CHD + Migraine + Intention tremor

B-Blocker

Hypoten ( Atenolol )

      Dose:

      HT: 25-50 mg daily increased to 50-100 daily after 2wks if necessary.

      Angina: 50 mg daily increased to 100 mg after 1wk if necessary.

       

      [II] HT + Heart Failure

      ACE – Inhibitor + Diuretic

      * Capoten * Lasix

      * Moduretic

      HT: 25-50 mg BD

      Or

      50 mg OD

      Chidren: o.3 mg/kg tds

      Heart failure: initially 6.25 or 12.5 tds

      Or 25 mg tds.

       

      [III] HT + Asthma

      Ca-Channel Blocker
    1. Adalat
    2. Dilzem : 30-60mg tds

      3.  

      [IV] HT + Diabetes

      or

      + Renal disease

      ACE-Inhibitor

      * Capoten

       

      [V] HT + Prostatic Symptoms

      Alfa-Blocker

      * Aldomet

       

Avoid Diuretics in diabetics and hyperlipdimics.

Use Aldomet in systolic Hypertension.
